About the Owner
Kathleen Gallagher is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience and the owner of Communication Way Speech Therapy, PLLC. She began her professional journey in 2005 after earning a Bachelor of Science in 2004 and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology in 2005 from Duquesne University.
Kathleen has developed a broad and versatile skill set through her work across a variety of clinical settings. She started her career in acute inpatient and outpatient care, providing therapy for stroke survivors, individuals with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and patients recovering from head and neck cancer.
As she grew her family and welcomed three sons, Kathleen transitioned into home health speech therapy, where she found meaningful and rewarding work serving adult and geriatric populations. Although she valued these experiences, her passion for working with children remained strong.
In 2022, Kathleen brought her long-held vision to life by founding Communication Way Speech Therapy, a practice dedicated to delivering personalized, one-on-one pediatric speech therapy. Her commitment to helping children discover and develop their own unique path to speech, language, and communication continues to inspire and guide her work every day.
